After the diagnosis that you need a denture, we work on making a denture to be ready for your scheduled Teeth in a Day visit.
On that day, there are three main steps:
- The teeth are removed
- Four implants are placed to act as anchors for the denture
- The pre-prepared immediate denture is fitted in by two fastenings to the implants – the All-on-Four
So, you leave the clinic with a full set of teeth in the same day.
After 3-4 months when the gums have healed, the immediate denture is removed, and a permanent one fastened on that is stronger and perfected to fit your mouth. The advantage of this denture is that it is not cemented – so if there are any problems down the line, it can be taken out very easily, and if it needs any adjustments, your immediate denture is put back in so you aren’t inconvenienced in any way.
There are several techniques to replace teeth, however with our experience and trials over 30 years, we have found that when it is a viable option for the patient, Teeth in a Day is the simplest and most reliable and conservative approach.
